Utopic Show tells the story of a show that came out of the desire to combine languages and reasons that tend to be at odds.
In the hours leading up to the premiere, rehearsals and reflections are made on the relationship between science, art and social transformation. What's behind a stage that defies the boundaries between popular and erudite culture, university and street narratives, expressions from the periphery and the center? The show is driven by the utopias of horizontality and complementarity of knowledge, equality in difference, the transformation of power relations into shared authority relations. A fundamental moment of the project Alice, Espelhos Estranhos Lições Imprevistas of the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra, the show "Alice in the city: sciences, social, rap and more" is consistent with the proposal of Epistemologies of the South and bets on the realization of a ecology of knowledge, valuing knowledge that arises from social struggles and promoting a broader understanding of the world, without losing sight of the horizon of social transformation.
