Hospedaria
At the end of 2013, the tenant who sublet the rooms of a guesthouse handed the key back to the owner. All the objects left behind by the former residents were left in the fourteen rooms that make up the building. We return to the daily life of the guesthouse through the memories we project in time and space, echoes and sounds, images of the emptiness and abandonment of a space that is no longer inhabited.

Náufragos
A ship that rams a small boat, a wave that capsizes it. There are screams, men trapped in the hold, fishermen sheltered in the cold on a raft for days on end. On land, the news arrives. There is weeping, preparation for mourning, and waiting for a ray of sunshine to bring people back alive. Dates are never forgotten; the marks remain on the body and in the memory of those who lived them.

The Beach
In this film, we are confronted with these bodies, naked and happy, in the daily life of a beach in the Lisbon region. After all, aren't these bodies beautiful, joyful, full of life? Why do we refuse to see ourselves in these bodies, if they are, after all, the testimony of a long and rich experience? In The Beach, the elderly return to active life, abandoning the spaces of suffering and loneliness, of contempt and disdain that they have sadly inhabited in contemporary societies. They have fun, play, swim, run. They become people again, like everyone else.
