The Melusinas in Público Newspaper
Jorge Mourinha, from newspaper Público, wrote a review about the Melusinas at the Edge of the River.
"At Doclisboa, resisting is living and living is resisting. We don't know if it was on purpose, or a coincidence in the timing or availability of copies. What we do know, however, is that Doclisboa seems to have left the best films it cast for its competitions until after the first weekend. Among them, the most inspired of the Portuguese competition titles in our opinion: As Melusinas à margem do Rio, by Mélanie Pereira" (Jorge Mourinha).

Tarrafal in "Expresso" newspaper
"Pedro makes the remains the narrative material. Where there were houses, schools, grocery stores, cafes, corners that each had as their own, all that was left was the wind moving through the abandoned land". (Valdemar Cruz)
