Her first feature-length film, it received three awards at Doclisboa, including the HBO Max Award for Best Portuguese Competition Film.

The screening is free of charge and will take place at the Carlos Reichenbach Hall, located at USP’s Centro MariAntônia, near the Higienópolis and Santa Cecília metro stations.

"AS MELUSINAS À MARGEM DO RIO" | 82' | 2023
Born in Luxembourg to immigrant families, five women reflect on countries, identities, fragments, and mermaids. While searching through hills and rivers for Melusina, the legendary and shapeshifting mermaid of Luxembourg City, the director engages in conversations with four women about their uncertain identities: what it means to be an immigrant without being one, and to be Luxembourgish without truly being one.
